Holding on to grudges, resentments, wrongs, and wounds, is often described as drinking poison and expecting the other person to die. We are told to forgive the other so we can free ourselves. It sounds so simple. Yet, when we try to do the forgiving, it isn't as easy as it sounds. If you think about it, it's because we don't know how to forgive. And of course we don't know how, no one ever taught us!

Forgiving is something we're told to do but not something we're taught to do. Yet it is a fundamental life skill that can be learned. It isn't easy ---  at least not in the beginning ---  but with practice it becomes as natural as riding a bike. Remember how hard it was to ride that bike in the beginning? But once you got the hang of it, you didn't need to think at all, did you? It came naturally. And riding downhill with the wind flowing past you? Remember how good that felt?  Well, that's how forgiveness feels. Free. Light. Happy. 

In this workshop you’ll learn about the obstacles, misperceptions, and benefits of forgiveness and then I’ll share a beautiful and effective Ritual of Forgiveness that was given to me by my teacher.

  • We’ll practice it, break it down step by step, and then go over it again, so you will be thoroughly comfortable and able to do it on your own.
  • You’ll receive a written copy to have at your fingertips whenever you need it.
  • As an added bonus, you’ll learn how to insure that your forgiveness endures.

Forgiveness is considered an advanced spiritual practice because it takes a mature individual to even want to practice it.
