Dearest Mom,
Does this sounds familiar?
You come home from a long hard day of work and even though you're so exhausted all you want to do is climb into bed and binge on your favorite mindless reality show, you force yourself to pull together a healthy, nutritious meal for your kids.
Staring at their plates, forks still on the table, they start complaining and whining about how they don't like the the food you very carefully prepared so they would like it.
You kindly and patiently say, "This is what we have tonight," and the kids smile and say, "Thanks, Mom, for making us such a delicious meal even when you're so tired." Then they eat every bite and help you clean up.
Your feelings are hurt. You're exasperated. Done. You snap at them.
Now there's tears. arguing, and a sullen refusal to eat. They stomp off leaving you wanting to cry as you clean up all by yourself and your heart wails, "I didn't sign up for this!"
It's not about you sitting in meditation every day—what mom has time for that!

Being a mom of four and grandmother of five, tells you Caren truly gets what being a mom is all about. She’s been meditating for almost thirty years and brought the two worlds together by figuring out a way she could meditate successfully—as a mom.
Discovery #1: It was more effective than what her peers were experiencing.
When she started teaching, most of her classes were in the traditional model, but she also included one class for moms where she taught what worked for moms.
Discovery #2: Her moms were getting more benefits from, and knew how to use more meditation techniques, than her other students.
Caren recognized that the method she used with her moms worked—it’s a powerful way of teaching that she has perfected over many years. Moms love it.
Many people dismiss a Meditation for Moms class as easy, fluffy, feel-good meditation for lightweights. Caren is not a lightweight! She trained in Kriya Yoga with her guru for 15 years while he was alive, studied Kashmir Shaivism with Sally Kempton for 10 years while she was alive, and has been studying Tibetan Buddhism for over 12 years.
Caren's gift is the ability to translate advanced esoteric teachings so they can be used by regular, everyday, people
The teachers Caren has chosen to assist her are Moms who have also been her students for over a decade. They are all graduates of both Level 1, and 2, of Caren's intensive Meditation Teacher Training Program. They know their stuff!
April Holt-Geiger has been studying with Caren for almost 15 years. She credits this unique moms program for giving her the skills to show up for her two children with the wisdom to see them for who they are and not mold them into an idea of who she thought they should be.
Liisa Pruzek showed up for a beginning meditation class with Caren over 15 years ago, had a panic attack in class, remained a student of Caren's, and today is a teacher of both meditation and yoga. With her two kids now in college, Liisa brings years of wisdom to share.
Brenda Bonk joined our moms program when her children were in pre-school. Today her oldest is a senior in high school, but Brenda's clear memory of what it's like to have the little ones gives her immense compassion for the challenges moms are going through.
No pre-recorded content. It's all live and in person time with Caren and her teachers.
Have to miss cause your sitter or you partner didn't show up? Or you had to work late? Or take care of a sick kid? No problem. We'll record and send the recordings out automatically to those who couldn't be there each Thursday.

Today was a low energy day and I just couldn't put my finger on why I was feeling a bit down and sad. Rather than judging myself, I tenderly put my hand over my heart and leaned into my feelings. Sometimes I feel like a rock star - managing boundaries, being compassionate, offering support but not controlling every little thing. And then there is today where I did not do any of those things - and I'm still a rock star - just doing the best I can. Self-judgment (or lack thereof) is just one of the many things I continue to let go of thanks to this group.

Nope! Definitely not. Although it definitely makes us better parents. This is a class to support and nurture you moms. It is a chance for you to talk about what’s going on for you with your kids, your job, your life, but the focus always comes back to you.
Absolutely! Most of our moms have careers outside the home and find this program to be their lifeline. We've had mom's join us from cars, hotels, and planes while travelling so they wouldn't have to miss a class.
Yes! All levels of meditators—newbies and advanced—are welcome and benefit from the teachings and practicing techniques. There are so many layers to uncover even advanced students benefit and keep coming back.
We totally get it. We record every class and send the recording out if you miss. However, most moms don't have time to watch the recordings, and it's all good.
Nope. We almost always open and close with a meditation, but what makes this program unique, is the amount of time we devote to listening to you and shaping the techniques and teachings to what is going on in your life.
We are introvert friendly and we never pressure anyone. There is so much wisdom shared within the group you'll get a lot just from listening. Please only share what you’re comfortable with.
It's not formal at all. It's real.
Feel free to wear your pajamas, bring your dinner to class, and let your kids wave to us if they pop in to say goodnight. We're moms too! We get it. Just be you!
Some moms attend one series and learn enough to make it their own. Many moms find it so meaningful and supportive they’ve been coming for years. They love the community of moms and support the can count on.
